Weekend attack victim dies in hospital

A 22-year-old man attacked in Fairview in Dublin during the weekend has died in hospital.

The fatal attack took place in the middle of the road in front of Marino College at around 3.30am on Sunday morning.

Gardaí are looking to speak to a male aged about 22 years old in connection with the incident.

A description of the man has been issued - gardaí say he is about 5’10”, with dark hair and tanned skin.

Gardaí are also appealing for witnesses to the incident, in particular taxi drivers, shift workers and patrons of the nearby Barcode Night Club.
