Motorway service station deal to create 500 jobs
Around 500 jobs are expected to be created over the next year as part of a scheme to build motorway service stations on the M1 and M4.
The positions - mostly in construction - will come about following the signing of a deal between the National Roads Authority and the Superstop consortium.
The agreement will see motorway service areas being built along the M1 and M4 on sites at Castlebellingham in Co Louth, Lusk in north Dublin and Enfield on the Kildare-Meath border.
The public-private partnership will cost more than €100m.
