Cabinet to begin preparations for tough budget

The Cabinet is due to formally begin preparations for this December's budget when it meets at government buildings today.

Ministers normally hold a Cabinet meeting every Tuesday, but they will be holding an extra session every Thursday for the next three months to plan for what is expected to be one of the toughest budgets in the history of the State.
