Labour Party leader Eamon Gilmore has accused the Government of scapegoating public sector workers for the problems currently facing the country.

Mr Gilmore told delegates at SIPTU's conference in Tralee today that gardaí, teachers and nurses had been belittled for months as if they were the cause of the economic downturn.
