Political parties to intensify Lisbon Treaty campaigns
Political parties for and against the Lisbon Treaty will intensify their respective campaigns today as the countdown to the next Referendum day continues.
The Taoiseach will head to Donegal as part of his campaign to engage with voters in the regions.
This is the last weekend before the nation goes to the polls next Friday to cast their votes on the Lisbon Treaty.
The Taoiseach will be in the North-West and will canvass the electorate in Donegal Town, Ballybofey, and Letterkenny.
Labour Leader Eamon Gilmore will spend the day in Dun Laoghaire and Blackrock in Co. Dublin.
However the most colourful campaigning is likely to take place in O'Connell Street in Dublin.
The organisation known as Coir which is opposed to Lisbon will have giraffes, pink hearts, balloons and street theatre at the GPO which in itself should catch people's attention.
