Four due in court in connection with €2m heroin seizure

Four men are due in court this morning in connection with a €2m heroin seizure in Co Kildare on Thursday.

About 15kg of the drug were found when gardaí raided a house in Robertstown.

A fifth man arrested in connection with the seizure has been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The four men will appear before a special sitting of Naas District Court this morning.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a man arrested in Carlow yesterday in connection with a €6.6m cannabis seizure in Dunboyne, Co Meath on Thursday remains in Garda custody in Blanchardstown in Dublin.
