Man in custody after Meath drugs haul
A man in his 30s is in garda custody in connection with the seizure of a huge haul of cannabis resin in Dunboyne in Co Meath.
More than 1.1 tonnes of the drug - worth an estimated €6.6m - was discovered in the town last night.
The seizure was made as part of a joint operation involving gardaà from the National Drugs Unit and Revenue's Customs Service.
They carried out a planned search of an industrial premises.
A man in his 30s was arrested close to the scene and is being held at Blanchardstown garda station.
Investigations into the discovery are continuing.
