Car-jack teen to await trial in custody

A teenager accused of hijacking a doctor’s car and then driving over one of his legs was served with a book of evidence today and remanded in custody pending his trial.

The doctor was left with a broken leg and unable to perform surgery following the incident in which he was allegedly dragged from his Mini Cooper after he had made a wrong turn, the Dublin Children’s Court heard.
