NI leaders discuss policing transfer with Brown
The North's First and Deputy First Ministers are meeting British Prime Minister Gordon Brown today to discuss funding to enable the transfer of policing and justice powers to Stormont.
The transfer has been repeatedly delayed in recent years, largely due to unionist opposition.
However, the DUP and Sinn Féin reached a deal on the matter late last year.
First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness are now seeking hundreds of millions of pounds from the British Government to fund the transfer.
