Two arrested after Down baseball-bat attack

Two men were arrested after a man suffered serious head injuries when he was struck with baseball bats and a pickaxe handle in Co Down, police said today.

The attack happened in Firmount Crescent, Holywood, at around 12.40am yesterday after five men wearing balaclavas and dark clothing forced their way into the man’s property.
