Politicians with bank shares should not debate NAMA: O'Snodaigh

Sinn Féin TD Aengus O'Snodaigh is calling on politicians with bank shares to absent themselves from the debate on NAMA in the Dáil next week.

He said 20 listed TDs and MEPs from Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Labour who disclosed banks shares in 2008 cannot claim to be unbiased when it come to debating the banking crisis.

He said these politicians should absent themselves from the NAMA debate.

However, Chairman of the Green Party Dan Boyle is rejecting the call.

He said the financial affairs of TDs and Senators are known through the Members Register and none of them has anything to hide.
