Missing mother and daughter found safe and well

Gardaí say a mother and daughter who went missing from their home in Co Louth yesterday have been located safe and well.

Concern had been expressed for the safety of 63-year-old Ann Duffy and her 25-year-old daughter Roisín, who has Down Syndrome.

Gardaí had issued a public appeal for help in tracing their whereabouts and had also sought assistance from the PSNI.

The pair were located in Newry today and are now believed to be on their way home.
