Technology contributing to expansion of sex industry

Support group Ruhama says it has helped more than 340 women affected by prostitution over the last two years.

Some 100 of these women had been trafficked for prostitution and six of them were minors.

Launching the group's biennial report, Director Kathleen Fahy said Ireland is now firmly enmeshed in the global sex trade.

She also said technology has played a big role in the expansion of the sex industry here.
