The High Court has given permission to an Afghan refugee to seek to challenge the State's refusal to allow his brothers one of whom was left disabled after being severely injured in a rocket attack, join him in Ireland.

Today at the High Court Mr Justice Kevin Feeney gave permission for the Afghan man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, to take an action against the Minister for Justice, Equity and Law Reform arising out of a decision to refuse the man's application for family reunification with his brother.
