Striking port workers receive P45s

The union representing workers who are on strike at Dublin Port is accusing the Peel Port company of posting employees their P45 forms.

The union representing workers who are on strike at Dublin Port is accusing the Peel Port company of posting employees their P45 forms.

SIPTU said eight of the 32 workers involved in the industrial action received the forms in the post yesterday indicating they are no longer employed at the port.

They went on strike after Peel Ports withdrew from talks at the Labour Court which were aimed at saving jobs and improving the redundancy deal on offer.
