Pool owners express sadness over boy’s drowning
The owners of the swimming pool in Navan in which a young boy drowned yesterday have expressed their shock and sadness at his death.
Aura Sport and Leisure Management says there were eight lifeguards on duty when Isaac Agaba got into difficulty and the pool was at 60% capacity at the time
The company says the eight-year-old was rescued by one of the guards and all the proper safety procedures were followed, but efforts to resuscitate him failed.
The pool is closed today as a mark of respect to the family concerned.
