Sensitive security files containing background checks carried out by the police on 60 people have been found in a skip in central Belfast.

The files were handed to DUP MP David Simpson, who is now seeking a meeting with the PSNI chief constable to discuss the force's data-handling practices.

Mr Simpson says the discovery is a cause of huge concern to the people whose details were not properly protected.
