Flooding on many roads after heavy overnight rain

Motorists are being warned to take extra care on the roads this morning following heavy rain overnight.

Flooding and surface water are being reported in a many parts of the country.

The AA says drivers should be particularly careful on the N7 from Naas to Dublin, while Galway city centre and secondary roads around Thurles in Co Tipperary have also been badly affected.

More heavy rain is expected this evening and tonight.
