Mystery over Cliffs of Moher body find

Gardai are seeking to identify a man whose body was recovered from the sea at the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare yesterday evening.

Two French tourists spotted the man's remains in the water at O'Brien's Tower shortly after 6pm.

Gardaí believe he was in his late 20s to early 30s and may have been in the water for up to three weeks.

They are seeking the public's help in establishing his identity as there are no current reports of anyone missing at sea.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place today to determine the cause of his death.
