Three held in connection with assault at train station

Three men were being questioned tonight over an assault in a railway station.

A man in his 40s suffered a head injury after coming under attack in Coleraine.

It is not believed to be life-threatening.

Police were told that a large group of people were causing a disturbance at the scene at 5.45pm.

A man was arrested at Coleraine Railway Station and a further two suspects were arrested at Ballymoney Railway Station a short time later when a train from Coleraine arrived.

Bus and train windows were smashed.

Anyone who witnessed the incidents and has not spoken to police is asked to come forward.
