Dissident republican groups in the North are making no headway in the nationalist community according to Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams.

Mr Adams was speaking as dissident republicans disrupted a District Policing Partnership meeting in Derry today.

At least 30 dissidents threw stink bombs, blew whistles and chanted anti-PSNI slogans, forcing the meeting to be called off.

The Sinn Féin president however said that while they have a right to their views, they are failing to gain significant strength or support.
