Panel to assess statements from religious orders

The Government has established a three-person panel to assess the statements of resources submitted by religious orders named in the Ryan Report into institutional child abuse.

The orders have agreed to an audit of their finances to see what more they can contribute towards the victims of the widespread abuse revealed in the report.
