Long delays reported at Dublin Airport security desks

Passengers at Dublin Airport are reported to be experiencing lengthy delays at security desks today.

Ryanair claims up to 30 passengers missed their flights as a result of the queues.

The airline wants Transport Minister Noel Dempsey to investigate the matter.

However, the Dublin Airport Authority says it has received no reports of passengers missing flights from Ryanair or any other airline.

It says there are often problems with people who check in online failing to factor in the time it will take to get through security and walk to the boarding gate.

The DAA is reminding all passengers to arrive at the airport at least 60 minutes before their flight departs.
