Elderly man dies in Clare farm accident

An elderly man has died following a farming accident in Co Clare yesterday evening.

The man, who was in his 80s, died after being struck by his tractor at his home in Tubber, outside Ennis.

Local gardaí are investigating the matter, while the Health and Safety Authority is also expected to launch a separate inquiry.
