More job losses for Cork
Odlums is to cut 33 jobs in the next few months, it has been announced.
The group has announced that it is ceasing operations at its mill in Cork city in September, resulting in 27 job losses at the facility.
A further six jobs are to be lost at its mills in Dublin and Portarlington.
The company is blaming increased competition and the decline in the value of sterling for the move.
The news is a further blow to Cork, following on from Smurfit Kappa's announcement yesterday that it is seeking 140 redundancies at its plant in Togher.
