John O’Reilly (aged 32) of Glendale, Leixlip was charged last Friday with membership of an unlawful organisation styling itself the Irish Republican Army, otherwise Oglaigh na hÉireann, otherwise the IRA on June 25.

Today the court freed O’Reilly on an independent surety of €10,000 and his own bond of €100.

The court also ordered him to sign on twice daily at his local garda station, to surrender his passport and not to associate with anyone convicted of or charged with scheduled offences at the Special Criminal Court.

The court remanded O’Reilly on bail until October.
