Jeanie Johnston crew members paid wage arrears
Three crew members on the Jeanie Johnston famine ship have been paid €16,000 in wage arrears.
The Rights Commissioner Service has also awarded €5,000 to another crew member, but the operators of the ship are appealing this award to the Employment Appeals Tribunal.
The boat is currently berthed on the North Wall in Dublin.
It has not been in service this year and it is understood that a new operator is being sought.
The International Transport Federation is welcoming the payment of wages.
