Teenager due in court over death of Donegal garda

An 18-year-old man is due before Glenties District Court in Co Donegal today charged in connection with the death of Garda Robbie McCallion.

The 18-year-old was arrested this morning at his home in Kerrykeel.

Mr McCallion died after he was hit by a car in Letterkenny in March.

The incident happened while he was on duty in the Tara Court area of the town.

He received head and arm injuries and later died at Beaumont hospital in Dublin.
