Work to begin on laying of Corrib gas pipeline

Controversial pipe-laying work is due to begin in Broadhaven Bay in Co Mayo today as part of the Corrib gas project.

The world's largest pipe-laying ship, the Solitaire, is in the area to lay a pipeline between Glengad and the Corrib gas field 80km out to sea.
