Man killed in road accident

An 80-year-old man has died when the van in which he was the sole occupant collided with a fence in County Donegal.

An 80-year-old man has died when the van in which he was the sole occupant collided with a fence in Co Donegal.

The single vehicle accident happened on the main Letterkenny to Ballybofey Road near the village of Drumkeen at about a 6.45pm last night.

The elderly man was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
