Jury sworn in in murder trial

A 20 year-old Crumlin man accused of attempted murder will go on trial at the Central Criminal Court tomorrow morning.

Charlie Darcy, of Crumlin Park, Crumlin, Dublin 12, has pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Patrick Collins at an address at Cooley Road, Drimnagh on August 31, 2008.

He also denies burglary, in that he entered that address with the intent to commit murder, and aggravated burglary in that he had a firearm in his possession.

The trial is expected to last for four days but will not sit on Friday, Monday or Tuesday.
