RTÉ 'not facing bankruptcy'

The director general of RTÉ has denied that the state broadcaster is facing bankruptcy.

Cathal Goan was speaking during an appearance before an Oireachtas committee this morning.

He said the state broadcaster was trying to secure cost cuts in an effort to plug a €68m budget deficit, but was not facing a financial crisis.
