Fears for 200 jobs at Tralee electronics plant

There are fears for the future of 200 jobs at a car components factory in Co Kerry today.

Staff at Beru Electronics in Tralee have been called into a meeting with management at 4pm.

The German-owned company is reviewing its costs and there is speculation that it may move production out of Ireland.

The plant has been operating in Tralee for more than 20 years.
