Cyclist suffers hit-and-run during race in North
A cyclist was knocked over by a hit-and-run driver during a race in the North.
The biker sustained leg injuries when he was struck by a white van on a road outside Omagh last night.
He was taking part in an event organised by a local cycling club at the time.
Police are now hunting for the van driver, who did not stay at the scene.
The incident took place on the Gortin Road near Molly Sweeney’s bar at around 7pm.
Anyone who witnessed the collision are asked to contact police.
