Govt urged to back EU Missing Children helpline
A man whose sister has been missing for 10 years is calling on the Government to subscribe to the EU's Missing Children's helpline.
Tom Brown is appealing today to candidates in the local, European and Dublin by-elections to place the issue high on their agenda.
The European Commission set up a common missing children helpline two years ago.
The system is now operational in Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Portugal and Romania.
Mr Brown says the helpline would be of great value to families who find themselves in circumstances similar to his own.
