Third person dies on the nation’s roads
A man has been killed in a road crash in County Kildare.
The three car crash happened at Pike Bridge on the main Leixlip to Maynooth Road at around 7am this morning.
Two other men were injured in the crash. They have been taken to Blanchardstown Hospital but their injuries are not life threatening.
It brings to three the number of people killed on the roads so far this Bank Holiday weekend.
A 23-year-old man and a woman in her 50's died in two separate road crashes in Limerick and Mayo yesterday evening.
The Road Safety Authority is appealing to people to take extra care on the roads this weekend.
