Eleven people were killed or seriously injured on the roads during the June Bank holiday last year.

The predicted good weather and a large number of sporting events are expected to result in an increase in people on the road.

Chief Superintendent Gabriel MacIntyre of the Garda Traffic Bureau has advised drivers to take regular breaks if they feel tired.
