Global downturn undermining human rights

Amnesty International says the global economic crisis is undermining human rights in many countries across the world, including in Ireland.

Amnesty's Irish branch says cutbacks at the Equality Authority and the Irish Human Rights Commission are just one example of how the downturn is hampering the protection of human rights.
