The latest stretch of the Dublin-Cork motorway has been opened.

The latest stretch of the Dublin-Cork motorway has been opened.

Transport Minister Noel Dempsey cut the ribbon on the €70m scheme this afternoon.

The project has been completed within budget and nine months ahead of schedule and will link the Fermoy bypass to the Cashel/Mitchelstown motorway at Kilbehenny.

It's the second-last phase of the N8 to open.

Minister Dempsey says the new road brings many benefits.
