IWA holds AGM in Kilkenny

The Irish Wheelchair Association is holding its AGM in Co. Kilkenny today.

It is the second day of the conference and members will today be discussing the affects of the economic downturn on the association's services.

Last year, the organisation provided over two million hours of face-to-face support for its membership of around 20,000 people.

But spokesperson Michael Doyle said there is a real fear that if recent cutbacks continue, they may not be able to maintain that support.
