Green Party launches European election manifesto

Green Party Leader John Gormley has launched his party's European election manifesto in Dublin.

He was joined by the party's candidates Senators Deirdre de Burca and Dan Boyle.

Minister Gormley said the European elections are extremely important from a green perspective because of the union's leading role in environmental reform.

He says a green vote will result in an ambitious and vital programme of green investment that will combat climate change and create a sustainable economy.
