Revenue to contact mortgage holders over interest relief

Revenue has said it will be writing to more than 130,000 mortgage holders asking for additional information to determine if they are eligible for mortgage interest relief.

Thousands of homeowners had their interest relief suspended at the beginning of the month, while Revenue assessed the new criteria, brought in April's Budget.
