Cowen insists Thornton Hall scheme will go ahead

Taoiseach Brian Cowen has told the Dáil that the Government will press ahead with a new prison complex in north Co Dublin in the coming years.

The €300m Thornton Hall plan has suffered a setback following the collapse of talks with the consortium that was supposed to build the facility.
