Union leaders hold second day of talks with Govt

Trade union leaders are due to hold a second day of talks with the Government today to examine if there is a basis for pressing forward with negotiations on a programme for economic recovery.

The social partners have already held discussions on the matter, but little progress was made due to the Government's reluctance to make spending commitments.
