Door-to-door inquiries to take place in Lucan following raid

Door-to-door inquiries are to get underway today in the vicinity of yesterday's foiled robbery on a cash-in-transit van in the Lucan area of Dublin.

One raider was killed in the incident.

A second man remains in a critical condition in hospital after a number of shots were fired by armed gardaí who moved-in as the attempted robbery was underway.

Four other men, all in their 20s, were later arrested and are being questioned at both Lucan and Ronanstown Garda Stations.
