NI methanol seizure sparks fuel tampering fears
A new form of petrol tampering by cheap fuel dealers on the border is on the increase, NI Customs officials revealed today.
The seizure of 5,000 litres of the chemical methanol – which is used in the production of bio diesel – confirmed evidence of the emerging scam, according to investigators.
