Children’s groups seek overhaul of entire system

Children’s groups say the entire child protection system needs to be overhauled in light of the Dunne family tragedy in Monageer.

An official report published yesterday concludes that it was unlikely the deaths of Aidan and Ciara Dunne and their two daughters could have been prevented, even if gardaí or social services called to their home the weekend they died.
