Army bomb disposal experts have neutralised a viable explosive device found in the Clondalkin area of Dublin overnight.

Army bomb disposal experts have neutralised a viable explosive device found in the Clondalkin area of Dublin overnight.

The bomb was found beneath a vehicle at Deansrath Grove.

The army says the device contained explosive material, but was made safe without the need for a controlled explosion.

The all-clear was given at around 2.30am and the device was taken away by gardaí for further examination..
