The long-awaited report into the deaths of the Dunne family in Monageer, Co Wexford, is due to be published later today.

Just over two years ago, local couple Adrian and Ciara Dunne were found dead at their home along with their two daughters, five-year-old Leanne and three-year-old Shania.

Today's report is expected to confirm that Adrian killed his wife and daughters before hanging himself.

In the days before the tragedy, the couple had visited an undertaker to plan details of the family's funeral.

It later emerged that the authorities had been made aware about a possible risk to the two children.

An inquiry was set up to examine the response of the authorities and to recommend how such tragedies might be avoided in the future.

An edited version of its findings will be published this afternoon.
