Libertas is denying claims it paid candidates in other countries to run in the EU elections this summer.

It follows claims that some candidates had been paid up to €1m.

Libertas is running 300 candidates in 24 different countries in the elections on June 5.

Speaking at the launch of the party's Irish MEP candidates in Dublin today, party leader Declan Ganley said the reports are false and designed to take away from the party's message.
